RSS & iCal

Basic RSS and iCal support has been added since 1.1; RSS and iCal feeds can be either per location or for all locations and display the next 25 events. Please note the iCal feeds are not widely tested - there's known issues for Outlook 2007, but are usually fine in Google Calendar, and later versions of Outlook.

Remember iCal is 'one way', so this is just a convenient method to display the roombooking entries alongside your regular calendar; you can't add/edit/delete entries from the iCal feed and have it affect the main room booking system.

Displays for Digital Signage

Some very basic displays for digital signage are included, showing the next five events in any location, or for all locations. Simply point your digital signage browser at the URL provided.

API Keys

API keys must be generated by an administrator - you can do this on the user list edit dropdown -> Generate API Key. This will generate a unique string which will be used in all RSS & iCAL URLs and can be changed at any point.

Once an API key is available for that user, and their role allows it, they should be able to access the data API which will display a list of available feeds.

Note that after creating an API key for that user, the user will need to login/out again to be able to use it, as it's stored in their session.
